1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, profile photo, and trip data (destinations, places, dates, photos, descriptions).
We automatically collect: device information (model, OS, unique identifiers), usage data (features used, trips created, interactions), and with your permission, location data for map features.
When you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from the provider.
2. Payment & Subscription Data
Subscription payments on iOS are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. We do not store your payment credentials — all billing is managed by Apple.
We store subscription status information (plan type, expiry date, renewal status) to provide you with the correct level of access within the app.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Manage subscriptions and account access
- Personalize your experience and recommendations
- Send push notifications and emails about your account
- Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud
- Analyze usage trends to improve the platform
- Respond to your support requests
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Apple — for in-app subscription processing
- Analytics providers — anonymized usage data to improve the Service
- Law enforcement — when required by law or to protect rights and safety
- Other users — your public profile, trips, and activity you choose to share
In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity with prior notice.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except:
- Subscription and transaction records — retained as required by tax and financial regulations
- Anonymized analytics data — retained indefinitely for service improvement
- Content that has been shared with or saved by other users may persist in their accounts
6. Cookies & Tracking
As a native mobile application, Tourer does not use browser cookies. However:
- We use analytics SDKs that may collect device identifiers and usage patterns
- Third-party services (maps) may use their own tracking technologies
- You can limit ad tracking through your device's privacy settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads)
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) for all API communications
- Secure token storage using device keychain/keystore
- Authentication tokens with expiration and refresh mechanisms
While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through your account settings
- Correct inaccurate information in your profile
- Delete your account and associated data
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Export your trip data
For EU users (GDPR): You additionally have the right to data portability, restriction of processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For California users (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion.

9. Children's Privacy
Tourer is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at contact@tourerapp.com and we will take steps to remove that information.
10. Changes & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
